Paradoxes
Write one “reaction” essay on one of the five paradoxes we discussed during the final weeks of
class:





The Sorites Paradox
The Liar Paradox
Paradoxes of Time Travel
Moral Luck
Paradoxes in the School of Names
Additonally, write a second essay on any paradox we have discussed that you have not yet written
about (any topic since the beginning of class).
Your essays should each be 2-3 pages double-spaced, or about 500-750 words each. They
should have titles and your name on them. You do not need to print the essay out, please email it
to me ([email protected]). Both essays are due on 12 May 2017. I have to
submit the grades, so unfortunately, late papers will not be accepted, and will be marked with a 0.
I of course will accept legitimate medical excuses for late papers, but please be aware that you
may not receive your grade on time, even if you are excused.
