NARRATIVE (Optional)
Please provide any additional comments or notes regarding special circumstances or considerations regarding the
project's credit approach.
Recycling space has been centrally located within a common area at each floor level. Additional space is provided within
individual laboratories and support spaces, office suites, and public areas. Indiana University Housekeeping provides
nightly removal of all trash and recyclables seven days per week. Recyclables are temporarily stored within the Loading
Dock at the Ground Floor Level before being transported each night to a central campus holding facility to await transport
by a contracted waste management provider.
The Physical Plant Building Services Department provides additional support for the campus-wide IU Recycling Program by
supplying appropriate containers, literature, and collection to all academic customers and buildings.
The project is seeking point(s) for this credit using an alternate compliance approach. The compliance approach,
including references to any applicable Credit Interpretation Rulings is fully documented in the narrative above.
