IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Carefully read the instructions appropriate to your fixture. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE PROPER INSTALLATION OR LOCAL CODES, CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN. • Fixtures are intended for connection to a grounded, three-wire source of supply. • To avoid shock hazard do not work with live electrical wires. Figure 1 • Install fixture in dry, indoor applications only. • Install and wire fixture in locations in accordance with national, state, and local codes. • Do not install outdoors or in applications other than intended use. I. Electrical Connection NOTE Make sure that all wiring is in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes. NOTE This fixture must be connected to a three-wire source of supply (hot, neutral, and ground). Figure 2 2. Lift housing into place by centering keyhole slots over mounting screw heads (not provided). Tighten screws securely. Attach cover and any optional reflectors to housing with screws retained in step 1 of Electrical Connection. 1. Remove fixture cover by unscrewing 2 #8-32x3/8 screws as shown in Figure 1. Retain screws for later use. Pull off cover and set aside. 2. Remove the desired 1/2-inch knockout from fixture housing. Attach supplied fitting to housing, and tighten hex nut securely. Tighten 3/8-inch flexible metal conduit to electrical fitting with two of the screws provided (see Figure 2). III. Row Mounting 1. Remove cover and knockout from next fixture to be mounted. Mount fixture per Mounting Instructions. 2. Make electrical connections by jumpering the white ballast lead from the second fixture to the white ballast lead from the first fixture and connect both to supply neutral. Jumper the black ballast lead from the second fixture to the black ballast lead from the first fixture and supply hot lead. 3. Attach supply ground to same lug as ballast green ground. Connect supply neutral lead to ballast white wire and supply hot lead to ballast black wire. II. Mounting Instructions (for single fixture) 1. Refer to Figure 3 for mounting distances. Mark and drill two holes for correct distance, centering the housing at the desired location. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for additional units. 1 Figure 3 IV. Master/Slave Combination Remove cover and knockout from empty slave unit. Mount fixture per Mounting Instructions. Make electrical connections by following wiring diagram shown in Figure 4. Note: Master fixture is pre-wired by factory.
