GET DECORATING USING TENNIS BALLS AND YOUR IMAGINATION ENTER IN TO THE ABOVE WITH THE TENNIS CLUB. “ANGEL TREE” IS THE THEME CONTACT: [email protected] (See Reverse) Shankill tennis club has been asked to be involved in the Crinken Church Christmas Tree Festival, taking place weekend of December 4th, 5th & 6th and all will be welcome to visit. The idea is that 44 different community groups will each decorate a Christmas tree that together tell the Christmas story. Our tree has been given the theme "Angel Tree" and is to be based on the Bible verse "An Angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them. Luke 2:9" and is to be decorated using a tennis theme to represent the club. We are asking all club members to get involved to help decorate our tree so its COMPETITION TIME! We would like to challenge each and every club member to make a decoration based on our given theme. Each decoration: must include something to do with tennis must have thread or fishing wire for hanging on a branch must be no bigger than 20cm tall Each entry costs €2 and need to be dropped into the tennis club office by Thursday 26th November. You may enter as many times as you like, and could enter individually or get together as a group for a bit of workshop fun. Prizes for the best / most imaginative / fun entries! €2 entry fee will go towards lights and the remaining money goes towards The Storehouse Food Distribution Centre at Crinken Church, distributing food to those in need. The Club will purchase the tree which will be used to decorate the clubhouse after the festival. This is an opportunity to publicise our club while getting involved in the community and contributing to a worthy local charity. Good luck and get those creative juices flowing!
