A Private Tour of the
Mercedes Formula
One Team
The Mercedes Formula One team are the current World Constructor Champions. Their drivers,
Lewis Hamilton, the current Formula One World Champion and Nico Rosberg have set the pace for the
past 2 years in their Silver Arrows.
The world of Formula One is highly competitive and very secretive. However, the Riding for the Disabled
Abingdon Group have been offered a fantastic opportunity for four individual people to be given a private
group guided tour of the Mercedes' factory in Brackley, near Silverstone in South Northamptonshire on
Tuesday, 23rd August 2016 starting at 6.30 pm. This is the week when the factory will be undertaking final
preparations for the Belgium Grand Prix.
During the tour you will hear how the championship winning 2014 and 2015 Silver Arrows race cars and
their 2016 successor were designed, developed, manufactured and built. You will see behind the scenes
including the design office, machine shop and race support.
The tour will take approximately 1.5 hours. There will be restrictions on photography and video recording
within the factory. However it will be possible to take photographs with the trophies and with the World
Championship winning race car.
This is an exclusive and unique opportunity which is not normally available to Formula One fans.
HOW TO PLACE A BID
1. Each bid accepted will be for one of the four spaces on this private group tour.
2. Bids can be placed by emailing [email protected] with your name, contact details
including email address, and your bid. Each email bid will receive a reply. We will publish where the
highest value bids stand on our website weekly. www.rda-abingdon.org.uk/auction.htm
3. Final bids will close on Monday, 4th July 2016.
4. The winners will be those with the top 4 highest bids.
5. Payment will be required in full through a BACS transfer, cleared cheque, or cash by Tuesday,
12th July 2016. Failure to get your payment to us by this date will result in the next highest bid being
offered this unique opportunity.
6. The name and contact details of the tour attendee will be required by Tuesday, 12 th July 2016.
7. Once payment has been received, you will be provided with further details and contact information for
your tour, and where appropriate, will be put in touch with other tour winners so that car shares can
be considered.
8. 100% of the winning bid funds will go to RDA Abingdon Group Ltd.
