Equality and Diversity Training
It is a requirement that all Educational Supervisors/Trainers update their Equality
and Diversity status every 3 years. Please find below details of how this can be
achieved. You will require to state on the practice re-accreditation
documentation that E&D training is up to date.
Accessing and Saving Equality and Diversity Modules via RCGP on-line
modules
Go to RCGP website:
http://www.rcgp.org.uk/
Click on Revalidation & CPD
Click on Resources for CPD
Click on e-GP programme
Instructions tell you how to access e-GP. Note, if you have not accessed e-GP
before, it may take up to 7 days to have log-in details sent to you.
Click on Log in
Click on Launch e-LfH Learning Management System (Menu on left of screen)
You now need to create a personal library to store your documents
Click on Personal Library (Menu on left of screen)
Click on Edit Structure
Choose Create
In the “Name” box, type E&D
In the “Description” box, type E&D
Choose Save
E&D should appear
Choose Save
Click on Home (Menu on left of screen)
To find the Equality and Diversity modules you can either:
1. Scroll down the list on the right of the screen until you see
e-GP 03.4 - Promoting Equality and Valuing Diversity
Click on this to open up the module list.
or
2. Click on Advanced Search (Menu on left of screen)
In the box “All these words” type “equality and diversity”
Click on Search
Click on the small “+” next to “Search Results in Courses”
Click on e-GP 03.4 - Promoting Equality and Valuing Diversity
And move on to complete the modules as detailed below
Complete the following 3 modules
2.01b_03 Understanding Equality and Diversity-Patient Scenarios
2.01b_04 Equalities Legislation
2.01b_09 Respecting Diversity in Others
When you have completed a module the little circle in the list should go green
Hover over the box under the “Action” heading (“add this content to the personal
library”), click on it, choose the box next to E&D and click on Add.
When you open your Personal Library the modules will all be listed.
