House Conspiracy’s Emerging Artist Residencies Program
The Emerging Artist Residencies Program is House Conspiracy’s flagship initiative. Between
February 2017 and February 2018 there will be 17 residency cycles and 68 residency artists
curated within the space. This application form concerns the first four residency cycles,
and the first 16 artists. There are no direct costs associated with undertaking a residency at
House Conspiracy.
Residencies will give artists the opportunity to work in a private studio and across House
Conspiracy’s collaborative spaces (42 Mollison St, West End) to produce new work. If selected
to be part of the Residencies program, artists will receive:

24/7 access to House Conspiracy for three weeks

Their own private studio space

A $300 artist stipend to put towards your practice

Professional documentation of their work and processes

Audio- and text-based interviews discussing their practice

The opportunity to work alongside three other artists during their residency period

Access to collaborative networks of talented practitioners from different disciplines

The opportunity to showcase their work in the House Conspiracy space at the
conclusion of their residency
It is worth noting that at this stage House Conspiracy is not facilitating a live-in residency
program, although it is allowing 24/7 access to the space for each curated artist. House
Conspiracy has a basic kitchen and bathroom available for use by resident artists.
There is an expectation that resident artists collaborate with the other creative practitioners
taking part in the same Residency as them, and that they fulfil all necessary documentation
requirements. Residencies will be curated and themed based on the overlap of applicants’
practice.
All those accepted into the Residency program will showcase their work in the House
Conspiracy space at the conclusion of their residency, and will be included in a physical House
Conspiracy publication, due out in mid-2018.
