SHOW OF FORCE I
The first run of the AMVETS Riders Chapter 2298, Callaway FL was held on 29 April 2006.
Designated as a " Show of Force". It was an unofficial run to introduce us, to advertise the Riders
as a part of AMVETS and to promote membership within the district. It was open to anyone who
wanted to ride. We assembled at Post 2298 in Callaway at 10:30 AM and departed at 11:00 for
Post 47 on Panama City Beach. From Post 47 we traveled to Post 7 in Chipley where we were
treated to a delicious snack. We then rode on to Post 231 in Fountain where we were again
treated, this time to a full meal of BBQ and all the fixings and then it was back to Post 2298 at
5:00 PM. We had 21 bikes total with two riding double and 3 in the follow on vehicle. One rider
came over from Post 47 and we picked up another rider at Post 7 who rode with us to Post 231.
Everyone had a great time making new friends.
