Hello all water polo players!
Welcome to the 2012 Season
Please see below for detailed information on the season.
Competition
Senior and Junior games will run on a Tuesday night between 6:30 – 8:45pm. Games will run
for 2 halves of 10 minutes each. Teams will need to be ready to get in the water (this includes
caps on, poolside talk and poolside warm up completed) with 5 minutes to go on the clock
of the previous game to ensure the team can utilise the 5 minute warm up in the water.


Spring Season Games (School Teams) 9th October to 13th November 2012
Senior (and interested juniors)games will continue (if interest allows) until 11 th
December 2012


Summer – Competition (school teams): 5th February to 19th March 2013
Senior (and interested juniors)games will continue (if interest allows) to 26 th March
2013
How to register
It is a requirement that you must register with Queensland Water Polo prior to playing in the
competition. Fees cover insurance and cost of running the competition including refereeing,
equipment and coaching expenses.
1-Go to Water Polo QLD site www.waterpoloqld.com.au
2- Click on 'register online now!'
3- Select Toowoomba Water Polo as your club
4- Read the steps and follow the prompts
2012/2013 Fees
Junior (still at school) = $135 this cost covers registration for Spring and Summer competition
Junior half season (Year 12 Students not returning for 2013) = $115
New Senior (has not registered with QLD Water Polo previously) = $160 this cost covers registration
for Spring and Summer competition
Senior = $175 - this cost covers registration for Spring and Summer competition
Registrations costs are all inclusive and due by 23rd of October 2012, Failure to pay registration
will result in being unable to play

Safety Notice
Please note that there is to be NO DIVING into the pool at the far end (left corner) as there is
now a fiberglass platform in this area. Please ensure your team are aware of this.
Teams
If you are a senior or junior player and are not allocated to a team please contact Lauren or
Cheryl .

Team Duty
Your team will be required to provide at least 5 players for duty each week. Please check on
the draw when your team has been allocated a duty and ensure the duty people have
been allocated prior to game day. The duties required to be filled each week are:
Timekeeper, Scorekeeper, Goal judges,
Pre Game/Post game set up duties include removing lane ropes and setting up the pool
(goals, lane ropes, table and clocks).
If you are unsure of how to do these jobs please speak to an experienced member of your
team or one of the officials poolside.
If you have a certificate in referring or would like to gain some experience in this area please
let one of the following members know.
