I can confirm that Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust holds the information you
requested:
1. Total annual budget and monthly breakdown for food for patients.
Could you provide the data in each hospital for each of the last five
calendar years for which is available?
Please see the attached spreadsheet which contains as much information as we hold for this
question. Due to how our systems store such information, we do not hold all the requested
data. The information which we have provided details the actual spend.
As discussed, you asked for information on the hospitals listed within the document. Please
note that the hospitals underlined in bold are not Southern Health Foundation Trust
properties and/or have no inpatients for whom food would be provided and so we do not
hold information for these locations.

2. Could you provide a breakdown of meals and number of times
served to patients over the above periods?
We serve breakfast, lunch, and supper every day of the year to all inpatients. The
breakdown of number of meals served can be found within the ERIC return collated annually
by HSCIC. It can be found on http://hefs.hscic.gov.uk/ERIC.asp. Accordingly, as this
information is already in the public domain, an absolute section 21 exemption under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 applies to this element of the request.
However, as the information for Lymington New Forest Hospital is not found within the ERIC
return, please find the relevant data for the last 4 years below (as I can confirm we no longer
hold data for 2010/11):
