moves?

flipper/wall etc?

Flipper Direction
The way a flipper moves depends
mainly on the “Start Angle” and
“End Angle”
Flipper Direction
The angles start with 0o at 12
o’clock (straight up), going
clockwise – so 90o is at 3 o’clock
Flipper Direction
Negative angles also work
from 0o up to -360o
FAQs
Why does *x* not work?
The table you are using has only a limited “script” (program) written
for it.
What should work on the tutorial table:
• 20 of each of these can be added and work (or score points)
automatically
=> flippers, walls/targets, plungers, bumpers, spinners, kickers.
All of these will only work if they haven’t been renamed – e.g.
“Flipper17” will work, but “MyFlipper” will not
• All ramps, gates will work no matter how many you have
What will not work on the tutorial table:
• Timers, triggers, lights, light-sequencers
These need additional programming (script) – you can learn more
about the script in the “Visual Pinball Guide – part 2” powerpoint.
FAQs
How Do I Make The Table Bigger?
The starting table size is 1000 units wide x 2000 units high (a ball is
about 50 units diameter).
To make a bigger table, click on the playfield and then change the
width & height in the options (you will find that the outer wall covers
all your new bit of table at first, so you will have to move it about
using the control points (don’t forget, you can make more points)
FAQs
Why did the ball just go through my
flipper/wall etc?
This is rare but it does happen!
There is a bug (fault) with Visual Pinball where sometimes the ball will go
straight through a flipper, or wall.
This is very frustrating, but nothing can be done about it!! Sorry!

Answer: Make the “V” part into slingshots
First right-click the middle control point & select
“Slingshot”
How do I make part of a wall into a
slingshot (bounce the ball off it
when hit)
Answer: Make the “V” part into slingshots
This will make the wall to the left of the control
point into a slingshot (appears bold in the editor)
Do the
same to the
point at the
top right,
and the ball
will always
jump out of
the “V”
FAQs
Why will the ball not go all the way
up my ramp?
You need to remember that a pinball machine has a glass top!
If your ramp (or ball) tries to go higher than the glass, it will just bounce
off it.
The glass height is set in the “Table” options (click anywhere on the table
surface to see these in the options bar on the right)
