Plug In: Let It Go (Esau makes peace with Jacob)
Power Up Point: Prove you care about others by letting go of “what’s
fair.”
Pass it On: (Bible Time) Genesis 26:41-45; 31:3; 32:1-21; 33:1-11
Ask a kid: which of your friends would encourage you to choose peace
instead of getting even?
Ask a parent: How can we, as a family, create an atmosphere of peace
instead of fighting?
Read Romans 14:9 One way to live in peace is to encourage the
people around you and build them up. You could build someone up
by choosing to be kind or by listening or by letting someone else go
first or putting their needs above your own. Building someone up
means telling them how important they are to you. The truth is, it’s
easy to tear someone down with our words or actions. But if we
want to be peacemakers, we need to be more focused on building
others up. Find a set of blocks or plastic cups. Use them to practice
building a tower. Then knock the tower down. Which was easier:
building the tower up or knocking it down? Think about three people
that you see almost everyday (they could be family or friends). Make
a plan to use your words to build them up this week.

Bath Time: Play a whisper game during bath time.
Everything you say has to be a whisper. Pretend
you’re being very quiet like Peter was when he
followed the angel out of jail. “Shh...you don’t want
to wake up the jailer!” But once bath time is over
make all of the noise you want! “You’re free! Just
like Peter!”
Prayer Time: Dear God, thank you for loving us so
much! Help us to always remember to GO and TELL
others about your amazing love! We love you Jesus!
