NON-PROFIT CHERP REPRESENTATIVES WILL BE ON HAND TO SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE YOUR HOME HEALTHIER, GO SMALL SOLAR, KEEP ALL THE TAX CREDITS FOR YOURSELF, AND INCREASE YOUR HOME VALUE! CHERP is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching homeowners how to “maximize” the benefits of a “Home Energy Retrofit.” CHERP teaches homeowners about a wide range of energy-efficient upgrades that qualify for utility rebates from PG&E to help them reduce the overall cost of energy-efficient improvements. This process allows homeowners to “reduce” the need for a large and expensive solar system but still allows them to qualify for a 30% Federal Tax Credit on the less expensive solar system they install. This method will “maximize” utility cost savings and “minimize” the net cost of energy improvements. CHERP informs homeowners about a growing range of energy financing programs that don’t require equity or perfect credit. Homeowners who follow CHERP’s guidelines are generally able to create a “positive monthly cash flow” with little to no money “out of their pocket” to go Small Solar. CHERP doesn’t sell any products or services but workshop attendees receive a “Gift-Certificate” from CHERP “Best of Class” Contractors certified by PG&E to perform home energy assessments, install energy upgrades, and process utility rebates. Homeowners are under no obligation to do business with CHERP “preferred” vendors and are directed to PG&E’s website where they can access a list of all certified and approved Home Performance Contractors. Bonus! All West Sacramento residents are eligible for rebates from PG&E plus the 30% Federal Tax Credit! Yahoo!
