Free Public Seminar – Demystifying Mental Illness
In any year, 1 in 6 people will have a stroke, BUT 1 in every 5 people
will suffer from a mental illness!!!
How many people do you know who have suffered or are still suffering
from mental illness?
Is it someone else’s problem or is it affecting YOU?
Do you know the best way how YOU could respond?
Treatment of mental illness has moved from ‘institutions’ to the ‘care in
the community’.
While many people with mental illnesses may recover, some may
continue to receive treatment while living in the community.
This is a responsibility of the whole community – Do YOU know
how to get involved?
Come and find out more about what all this means and how YOU can take
your part.
