Beginning on July 7, the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival arrives for their 31st year! The mission of the Wildflower Festival is to advocate for the preservation and appreciation of the vast wildflowers that fulfill the Gunnison Valley. Throughout the festival are an array of activities to choose from; including, 4x4 Tours, hikes, art classes, birding, lectures, photography courses and more! CB is Crested Butte Mountain Resort's FREE Wednesday night summer concert series in the base area. Join us for great tunes, a laid back atmosphere and the beautiful backdrop of Mt. Crested Butte in all its summer glory. 21+ guests can purchase alcoholic beverages, and there's plenty of room for kiddos to play, so bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets and join us for mid-week music! Join us on July 12 as we welcome Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real to the Red Lady Stage beginning at 5:30 pm! Their rich blend of cowboy, hippie and surf rock always generates a buzz throughout the crowd. 10-3 Disc Golf Tournament Test your skills on the new 18-hole disc golf short course at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! In celebration of adding an additional nine holes to our short course, we are hosting a disc golf tournament on July 15, which will offer a fun and fast paced challenge for players of all ages and ability levels. Registration for the tournament is on July 15 from 9 am to 10:30 am at Coal Breaker Coffee. The tournament will kick off at 11 am with a shotgun start. Registration fees are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under, and registration include the chairlift ride to the course. Head back to the base area afterwards for the awards party at Butte 66 with free raffle prizes, and food and drink specials. Tough Enough to Wear Pink Cattlemen’s Days Tough Enough to Wear Pink is dedicated to providing local funding for breast cancer awareness, prevention, education, support, screenings and equipment. Join them on July 11 for their 2017 Singer/Songwriter Concert featuring Dean Dillon! The Waffle Cabin Made-to-order waffles, snacks and drinks! Open daily at 9 am. Hike to the Peak Where else can you hike to 360 degree views in 45 minutes to 12,162 feet above sea level and among the most picturesque views in Colorado? We’re pretty sure Crested Butte takes the cake on this one. Silver Queen Chairlift rides are only $22 for adults and $19 for children (ages 7 to 17). Get your single scenic chairlift ride ticket, take the Silver Queen lift to the top and then hike the Peak Trail all the way to the top. Trail maps are available throughout the resort. Or if you’re a bit tired, you can hike out to Monument, about 10 minutes, for some of the best views of Paradise Divide. Open Friday through Sunday. Stop by the Adventure Center today! Free Local Transportation Ride the Mountain Express Shuttle for FREE! The Town Shuttle runs every 20 minutes during the spring schedule with the first bus up the mountain from Old Town Hall in downtown Crested Butte at 7:35 am and down from Mountaineer Square in Mt. Crested Butte at 8:00 am. The last bus up the mountain departs from Old Town Hall at 10:55 pm and leaves the mountain from Mountaineer Square at 11:20 pm. For Late Night Service call 970-209-0509. July 11 Tough Enough to Wear Pink The Cattlemen’s Days Tough Enough to Wear Pink silent auction and concert is a fun event to raise money for local breast cancer funding. July 14 Free Twilight Archery Series Fridays throughout July, CBMR welcomes archers of all ages and ability levels to the free Twilight Archery Series. Ride the Red Lady Express Lift up to the sight-in range and archery course. We’ll see you up there! July 15 10-3 Disc Golf Tournament Test your skills on the new 18-hole disc golf course at CBMR. This tournament utilizes the Short Course located at the top of the Red Lady Express Lift, offering a fun and fast-paced challenge for all ages and abilities.
