{Creating a Leader in Me Inspired Environment} 10 Things you could do tomorrow… 1. Post personal and classroom mission statements. Post personal and classroom goals. 2. Put up leadership and inspirational quotes all over your building. 3. Decorate your door; feature one or more the habits. 4. Print large black and white photos of students and teachers in leadership roles (AEA267) 5. Make titles of all work hung in the hallways reflect a theme of leadership, a habit, or describe how the habits were used while working on the project. 6. Create a leadership word of the week; post it all over the school. 7. Create a “Leader you should know” bulletin board based off of KWWL’s someone you should know. Feature local and national leaders. Feature students and staff members here as well. 8. Display more student work, fill the hallways! Students feel a sense of pride and ownership seeing their work up in the school. 9. Have students greet each other and visitors to the classroom every day. Also greet people in the hallways and visitors to the building. 10. Ask for students help to make all these things happen. Form a student decorating or environment committee. Ask their opinion; let them explore their own ideas about how their school’s environment should look.
