Play `N` Learn Preschool

April
2010
Theme of the Month
During the month of April, the children will be
learning about Spring and different types of plants. To
enhance your child’s learning at home, you can talk to
them about the different types of plants such as
vegetables when you eat dinner. Ask the children if are
they are eating the flower or the root of a plant. Discuss
the types of food that grow as well as where and how
they are grown.

DANCE RECITAL
If your child is enrolled in any of our dance
classes, please be sure you receive the newsletter
announcing all fees and dates for pictures and the
upcoming recital. You do not want to miss out on this
event; the children are all very excited and are working
hard on their preparations.
EASTER PARTIES
Our Easter party is Friday, April 10, 2009.
Ms. Gretchen’s class party will be at 9:30 a.m. and
all others will begin at 2:30 p.m. The Easter Bunny
will be visiting our Easter egg hunt. Please sign up
at the front desk if you would like to bring
something for the party. We will need a lot of filled
plastic Easter eggs for this party. Please remember
if you put candy inside the eggs, it needs to be
wrapped and free of any nut product due to
children’s allergies.

DRESS CODE INFORMATION
Sandals: With the warm weather, children are wearing
sandals to school. For safety purposes, shoes
must have a back strap to play on the yard.
Also, soles on shoes should be flat (no heels).
Dresses: If you send your daughter to school in a dress,
please have shorts or panty covers over your child’s
underwear.
Apparel: We have been having problems lately with
children coming into school with fighting characters or
scary looking skulls on their clothing. We are asking all
parents to be cautious of sending your child to school in
clothing that may send negative. If your child has these
pictures on any of their clothing we will turn their
clothing inside out or change what they are wearing.
Extra Clothes: We are running out of extra clothes here
at the school. If you have any of the school’s extra
clothes, please return them. Also, please check your
child’s cubby to ensure they have extra clothes that are
the right size and appropriate for the warming weather.
If your child does not have clothes in his/her cubby we
will be calling you if he/she needs to be changed during
the day.
