EXPO XXI, Warsaw
21st edition of LIGHT and 11th edition of ELECTRICITY took place on March 11th - 13th, 2013 at the Warsaw
International Expocentre EXPO XXI. These trade shows are the most important events in Poland in terms of
lighting, electrical engineering and electrical installation.
This years’ events were energy-efficient, innovative and eco-friendly.
On the area of 12.000 square meters 396 Polish and foreign companies showcased their innovative products
and solutions. Many of the featured products were shown for the first time in Poland. Modern and innovative
solutions were especially presented in a specially prepared Innovation Zone.

Parallel to the LIGHT 2013 and ELECTRICITY 2013 a Conference and Trade
Show of Clean Energy CENERG 2013 was held. The event was covered by
the patronage of the Polish Ministry of Economy and was organized with
cooperation of:

• Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers
• Association of Polish Electrical Engineers
CENERG was accompanied by the Conference Energy efficiency from the
point of view of local government units - renewable energy and modern
energy economy of the city and the community.

CENERG’s highlight was the Electric Vehicle Exhibition. Vehicles were presented on a specially area during all trade fair

VISITORS
This year’s edition of the trade shows was visited by
13 954 visitors, 1434 were foreign guests from the EU,
Russia, Belarus, the Ukraine, China and the United
States.

Important element of the Trade Show were, seminars and
conferences forwarded to architects, designers, investors,
developers, local governments, engineers, electricians, road
managers, property managers, inspectors, representatives of
power energy companies, installers, investment and maintenance services, contractors and administrators of electrical
and telecommunication systems, housing associations, and
representatives of shops and businesses. The participants
had the opportunity to confront received information with
the manufacturers’ offer at trade show stands.

OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION AND ACCOMPANYING EVENTS:
The official opening of the Trade Shows and the presentation of the events’ awards took place on March 11th
at 17.00 with Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy Ms. Grazyna Henclewska who awarded prizes to
the most innovative products and technologies of LIGHT 2013 and ELECTRICITY 2013.
Secretary of State in the Polish President’s Cabinet, Mr. Olgierd Dziekonski granted awards to the winners of
the Competition for the Best Illuminated City, Municipality and Housing Department 2012.
A special letter to the organizers and participants of the Trade Shows was sent by President Lech Walesa.
Conference of Polish-Chinese cooperation in the field of lighting was opened by Mr. Xiu Jian, Ambassador of
the People’s Republic of China in Poland.
The awards ceremony for the LIGHT FOR... Competition was attended by Mr. Juergen Sturm General Secretary
of LightingEurope.
