Innovative Tools for the MK-19, M-240B and M2 Automatic Weapons
Most craftsmen know the importance of having the right tool for the right job, but in harms way having the right tool to quickly service
a weapon could mean the difference between life and death for men and women serving in our armed forces. Ontario Knife
Company® has nearly a century-long history of supplying top quality knives and tools to the U.S. military; building on this
longstanding relationship, the Ontario Knife Company has commissioned a line of innovative tools to support the needs of our
soldiers in the field.
OKC’s introductory offering includes three new revolutionary tools designed by cavalry scout Benjamin Bryant, SSG (Ret) who is
acutely aware that in battle conditions, speed equals saved lives. OKC’s gun tools allow the operator or maintenance technician to
quickly disassemble and reassemble the MK-19 automatic grenade launcher, M-240B and M2 machine guns. Built for gunners by a
gunner who understands the platforms and their requirements from a technical perspective and as an experienced operator in the
field, these innovative tools minimize the time required to field strip and service some of the line units’ largest, most-complicated, and
time-consuming weapons.
OKC MK-19 Gun Tool
American made, the MK-19 Gun Tool is crafted from 5160 Carbon Blade Steel and heat-treated to RC 53-55 for toughness and
durability. Overall, the MK-19 Gun Tool measures 11.794 inches and features an impact resistant PVC (Type II) bumper material.
The tool comes in versions finished with either a black texture powder coating or a phosphate coating, to meet different mission
parameters and to resist the elements when operating in the humid jungle environment of South America or the dry arid conditions of
the Middle East.
OKC M-240B Gun Tool
The M-240 has been a workhorse in the U.S. arsenal since the late-1970s, but it has taken three decades for anyone to come up with
an innovation such as the M-240B Gun Tool to maintain it. The M-240B Gun Tool is seven inches, constructed from 5160 Carbon
Blade Steel and boasts a RC 53-55 rating. The bumper material is impact resistant PVC (Type II) and the tool comes in a durable
black textured powder coat and phosphate coat versions.
OKC M2 Gun Tool
Just as OKC aids the medium machine gunner with M-240 Gun Tool, it also has the solution for the heavy machine gunner with the
M2 Gun Tool. The M2 Gun Tool has all of the great specs, coating options, and features of the M-240 Gun Tool and MK-19 Gun
Tool, but tapes out at 7.675 inches and is made from 1095 carbon steel.
