 Silverstone 9up Team Time Trial Friday Evening ‐ 9th June 2017 Teams are invited to participate in the following events: Men’s Team: timed on the 5th member to finish Ladies Team: timed on the 5th member to finish Mixed: Vet’s: Junior’s: either 3 ladies & 2 men to finish, or 3 men & 2 ladies can be mixed in any combo – 5th member time taken at finish can be mixed in any comb – 5th member time taken at finish Having previously limited the number of teams ‘per club’ – we can announce that you are invited to enter up to a maximum of 5 teams to allow club entry into each of the categories if desired. Within this overall limit we do however restrict a maximum of 2 team entries in any single category. Access to Silverstone parking, international wing garages / sign on from 5pm. Team garages will be assigned prior to the event which should allow you to aim to park near that ‘garage number’ 
Access to track for warm up from 6pm (Please note: this year all individuals will be expected to present to and sign on at the sign on tables which are placed centrally between a group of garages. Where possible we will look to each team to compile the team sheets and send them to us for printing, leaving just a signature to add on the night. On signing the individual will get their numbers and bike timing tags. This is avoid ‘late arriving individuals’ stopping their team members from getting on to the track for warm up – ideally you all sign on together though) 
Track cleared for event start by 6:40pm 
Hand cycling teams gather in the pit lane at 6:45pm 
Up to 80 teams dispatched from the pit lane from 7pm onwards 
Trophy presentations approximately 9pm All proceeds go to charity – we are delighted to announce that our headline support once again goes to HandCycling Association UK (HCAUK) and we can confirm that HCA‐UK are currently training two teams who will lead the event off just before 7pm. Two additional charities are under consideration for 2017 and will be announced shortly. Last year we presented £5k to HCA‐UK, and with nearly £3k a piece going to Thames Valley Air Ambulance and to Children’s Brain Tumour Foundation. Full details, rules, CTT requirements, access details and timings (remember NO DOGS allowed at Silverstone) will be circulated to your designated point of contact, and will be posted on the Facebook page on a weekly basis in the run up to the event. Any queries please email [email protected] For Junior entries: this is a fun, but competitive event. In past years we have had established junior race teams participate (at speed) and we have had relatively new and young juniors arrive at the track who are very keen to learn and participate in this unique event. This is a fun event, but we do need to ensure that ALL RIDERS are both comfortable and safe in and around the garages and out on the track. At Bicester, we are running training sessions for our juniors – we ask that your squads utilise the event opportunity arising and do something similar – practice starts, group riding (and braking) and team working. We have discussed and will support the participation of 1 or 2 ‘outriders’ to circulate with your junior team IF it includes members that are under 12 years of age. These riders must be cognisant of those around, stay off the lines and provide assistance for your team out on track. Please ask us more. With the start times limiting entry spaces to 80no, the entries will be handled on a ‘first paid’ basis. We apologise in advance ‐ any payments made after the 80no. are received will be refunded (we looked into using an external entry / payment handling team such as Eventbrite – however the charges and add on costs seemed unreasonable for the number of entries) – so yes we are managing this manually to maximise profitability for the charities supported.
