Regional Produce
The Castlemaine State Festival is a cultural event that combines artists, artworks and
audiences from across the globe with quality food and beverage playing a vital part of
the overall festival experience. As an arts festival we invite food and beverage providers
to consider how they produce and provide food in creative and progressive ways. The
Festival aims to support local food producers by using seasonal and regional produce
where possible; a comprehensive guide to local produce is attached.

You must hold the appropriate insurances for your food stall. A Certificate of Currency
from your insurer may be requested, detailing your insurance cover for the entire period
covering this event. Workers’ compensation and public liability insurances are
compulsory. It is also recommended that you include contents and damage insurance.

Please note: Water access for washing up and hand washing facilities is the
responsibility of stall holders.

It is expected that you will carefully consider and respect the natural environment as
part of your stall activities.
Food Permit
It is your responsibility to secure your own registration for a Temporary Food Premises
through the Mount Alexander Shire Council. For any questions about this application call

The Castlemaine State Festival (CSF) reserves the right to consider all applications and
decline a position to any stallholder. CSF may restrict entry to the event and may evict
any stallholder who, in the opinion of the event organisers, does not comply with the
guidelines of the Festival. CSF will not accept liability for any loss or damage to property,
or any injury of stallholders or persons involved with the stalls at the events listed in this
application.
CSF is held outdoors and public attendance is not guaranteed, particularly if there is
inclement weather. CSF does not provide any guarantee of revenue for stallholders at
the listed event(s).
Power is limited on either site, it is preferable that you are self sufficient with electricity
requirements.
