The largest bill was once again the bar tab. ($5700) We are no longer getting the discount that was given to us because of Kelli Bolstad being a TIA member. In addition, the cost of beer and soda went up. Thank you to all who helped make the Hall of Fame dinner a success. We had $300 from donations, $624 from dinner and had $159 in expenses… Total = $765.00. We will keep these funds separate for future HOF ceremonies. We currently have $7,268.97 in checking account and $15,680.72 in savings account. Expenses included football playoff shirts, Jr high track shirts, Jr High baseball Old Business Hall of Fame - Thank you to Ken Ingold as liaison and to those who helped with dinner. It was very interesting to see the history. Next year at the Hall of Fame dinner we will honor the next 10 years, the 1970’s, followed the next year with the 1980’s, etc. until we are caught up. We are looking into date, game, etc. for next Hall of Fame dinner. Cash Bash - Mark Varner was the “would be” winner, however, the last 5 standing split the winnings. It was a great night. We had arm bands this year to differentiate those who had paid from those who tend to wander in. A few people were asked to leave mid-way through that did not have arm bands. We are meeting with the Amvets group next week to plan for next year. Please forward ideas to us. Booster Club Website – Schedules have been updated and we are working on some stats and historical team data to post. Motion made to approve track, baseball and cheerleading but defer basketball and cheerleading until fall. Total purchase for now will be – $444.93 / defer $272.00. Motion made by Mike Estes, Deana Neil seconds, motion carries. HS sports totals are discussed. A question is asked about whether the Booster club should purchase the mats for cheerleading since it is a safety issue. Also, the question is raised – what is the difference between the requested mats and the mats already purchased? Mats recently purchased are small independent gymnastic style for individual or small group stunts. The large mat has been requested for the entire team to do stunts during competition. Ken Ingold volunteers to disregard the request for the DeMarini bat at this time due to the fact that he has learned since the request that several girls have DeMarini bats. Offered to table this request for now. Track – point made that they don’t ask for much and their requests could be used by other groups. Motion made to approve by Mike Estes, Lori Witt seconds, motion carries. Weight room – two benches – used for all teams. Motion to approve is made by Randy Elkins, Joe Maurer seconds, motion carries. Softball – table as offered by Ken Ingold HS Football - Gamefield signs – Mike Estes and Verne Rutledge voice opinion that although they would improve the look of the field, these are not necessary to assist our athletes and are quite expensive. Denied. Cheerleading – Flexible cheer mat – big expense but they don’t ask for much. Recent accident was brought up. Payment plan is discussed. We will table this until the May meeting so we can have a more in depth discussion with the school regarding safety requirements and whose responsibility this is. Craig Rogers motioned to table this… second by Randy Elkins… motion carries. We will discuss this at the at May meeting. Tournaments – all requests. Last year we did one amount for all groups (thinking $400). Motion to approve all for $400.00 is made by Lori Witt, Deana Neil seconds, motion carries. Total approved now…. $3,355.89 Mike Estes reminds all that a check is coming from Fisher National Bank ($410) from bank shot. Next Meeting Tuesday May 18th 7:00 – ELECTION OF OFFICERS 2010-2011 Motion to adjourn by Wendy Fink – seconded by Craig Rogers.
