How to Enter Scores

How to Enter Scores: Start at TennisLink: http://national.usta.com/
When you get to TennisLink you should Log In with your USTA Number and Password.
When you enter your USTA Number and mouse click the “GO” button a new screen
opens requesting your password. Enter your password and mouse click the Login button.
The internet returns you to TennisLink main page. Next you will need to mouse click on
the “Report a Score” link in the” League Players” section.
A new screen opens which requests the match number for the scores you wish to enter.
Enter the match number and mouse clink on the “Next” button.
A new screen opens that will allow you to print the blank scorecard for this match if it
has not been played, or to move on to record the scores, date of match, and names of
players.
If the match has not yet been played, then it would be good to take the printed blank
scorecard with you to the match. This way you can verify that the players that are in the
match are all registered on the appropriate teams. You may do this by mouse clicking on
the “print scorecard” button.
If the match has already been played and you wish to record the scores then mouse click
on the next button.
The new screen that opens is the electronic scorecard. Fill in the appropriate information,
not forgetting the date at the top, and then recheck the scores and names to make sure that
it is accurate. It is important to recheck the scores and names to make sure that no errors
occur. If an error does occur, then contact the District League Coordinator to solve the
problem. Once the scorecard entry is complete mouse click on the “Next” button.
The new screen that opens shows what information has been entered and requests the
captain to confirm or dispute the score. When a captain has entered the score then the
other captain need only confirm or dispute the entered score. If the score is not
confirmed or disputed within 48 hours then the score stands as recorded. It is important
that we pay attention to these details to avoid problems.
Once you have mouse clicked in the confirm or dispute circles you then may mouse click
on the “Finish” button to complete the scorecard entry process.
Should an error be made when entering scores, the District Coordinator should be
contacted to correct the mistake. Both captains should take part in this process to be sure
that the scores are correct. Rather than let the 48 hour rule confirm the scores, the captain
who does not record the scores should check them and then confirm that they are
accurate.
For a Retirement Match only enter the score of the games played and then mark the
match as a retirement rather than as completed.
