Using the School Data Portal: Guidance for submitting your planning and reporting documents The School Data Portal is quick and secure way for schools and kura to send their planning and reporting documents to the Ministry of Education. What can you send? Use the School Data Portal to submit your school’s: » » » » charter analysis of variance National Standards NAG2A(b) commentary (if applicable) National Standards NAG2A(c) data (if applicable). If you’re using a Student Management System (SMS) to record and report on your National Standards data, you can submit your summary data to the Ministry directly from your SMS. Use the portal only if your SMS does not support direct submission. Contact your SMS vendor for more information. Getting access to the portal You can access the School Data Portal from here. You will need to have an Education Sector Logon (ESL) to be able to log in. School staff must use their own ESL user account with a valid School Data Portal Role to be able to access the School Data Portal. Support for logging in to the Portal is available from here. Ministry of Education | Using the School Data Portal: Guidance for submitting your planning and reporting documents Screenshot of upload section How to attach and upload your files To send your planning and reporting files to the Ministry: » » » » » » choose the ‘Schools Planning and Reporting’ option from the File Type drop-down menu click on the Browse button – a browser window will appear browse your computer and find the file you want to upload select the file and click Open repeat steps above to select additional files (for your charter, analysis of variance, National Standards NAG2A(b) commentary and National Standards NAG2A(c) data). click on Upload file(s) button. Checking submission Once you send your file(s) the screen will display a confirmation message under the Upload file(s) button. You will also see your last three uploads in the Previously Uploaded Files section.
