Types of Abortions
Karman Method- Used very early in the
pregnancy. Suction is generated by a vacuum pump that
will suck everything out of the uterus. No dilation of the
cervix is needed.
Suction Curettage
Used during the first trimester. The
abortionist dilates the cervix, inserts a tube
which creates a vacuum that tears the
body of the fetus.
Dilation and Curettage
Cervix is dilated and a loop-shape knife is inserted
to cut up the fetus and scrape the uterine lining.
Dilation and Evacuation
Done in the second trimester, 14-26 weeks.
Due to larger fetal body parts the cervix is
dilated more and the fetus is dismembered.
The fetal skull is crushed and the spine
snapped for easy removal. Sometimes the
fetus is killed first by injecting a strong
saline solution into the amniotic fluid, or by
cutting the umbilical cord 24 hours before
the procedure.
Saline, Prostaglandin and Urea Instillation
The abortionist inject strong chemicals into the
amniotic fluid causing burning and poisoning as
the fetus ingests the fluid. Then a hormone is
injected to cause uterine contractions and expel
the fetus.
GRAPHIC
Hysterectomy
Done during the second and third trimester. Like a
Cesarean section. The abortionist surgically opens the
uterus and removes the fetus and placenta. The fetus
is left to die.
Partial Birth Abortion
Performed anytime prior to birth

The Abortion Pill (Ru486)
How does the abortion pill work
It has to be administered between the first and seventh
week of pregnancy
 1st appointment the pill is given orally
 2nd appointment another pill is given to begin
contractions of the uterus to expel the fetus
 3rd appointment is to check to see if the abortion was
successful via ultra-sound
