Cabinet Solutions AirSTREAM wiring system Better ambient tempe Less cooling and therm Avoid thermal stress, reduce downtimes, save costs Modern components are becoming increasingly compact whilst retaining the same switching function, however heat loss is not being reduced. The consequence: Heat build-up in control cabinets is continuously increasing. There is also a greater problem with so-called 'hotspots'. These are areas where heat build-up occurs due to multiple "heat-producing components" being in close proximity to one another. If it is not possible to separate these components for construction reasons and if a reduced air flow exacerbates the problem, localised temperature levels of over 45 °C can form rapidly. Components which are directly within the hot spot, or located next to them, suffer gradual thermal fatigue. AirSTREAM helps with the design of the construction so that the air circulates better and areas where heat builds up can be avoided. The separation into an installation level and a wiring level means that the air can flow almost unhindered past modules and wires - removing dissipated heat quickly. No crossing cable ducts interfere with circulation. The cables are routed along the rear with plenty of space. This feature also aids the flow of heat. rature thanks to AirSTREAM: mal stress Perfect climate: The separation into an installation level and a wiring level means that the air can flow almost unhindered past modules and wires quickly removing dissipated heat - less cooling capacity is required and resources are conserved! As shown in this example, this means that the control cabinet temperature can be decreased by 10 K in certain circumstances. The new LÜTZE AirBLOWER for the AirSTREAM wiring system balances out the air layers in the control cabinet and achieves optimum heat dissipation. Your advantages: • More efficient than conventional cooling options • Simple handling • Temperatures can be recorded individually Temperature layering without circulation Intermittent circulation 10°K temperature increase without circulation flow Temperature layers without circulation Original temperature layers Video: The improved design for better air circulation in the AirSTREAM system ensures a better ambient temperature in the control cabinet. http://bit.ly/Zg8kwu AirBLADES - a clever idea for targeted air direction Important: The air in the control cabinet should be able to circulate continuously. It would be even more beneficial if the air could be directed to specific hot spots. This is exactly what AirSTREAM has been able to achieve for the first time in a control cabinet. The solution: The new AirSTREAM control cabinet system accurately guides air flows. Instead of the usual wire combs, so-called AirBLADES can be inserted into the 50 mm grid. The wing shape of the AirBLADE means that the air is not swirled around at the trailing edges causing the air flow to peter out. Instead, the air flow can be accurately controlled, and individual hot spots can be "directly ventilated". Therefore, the operating heat can not only be dissipated generally, but also selectively. Maximum wiring space in the bracket 85 cm2 and very simple attachment of the individual wires in the wiring space by means of clearance between the rail length and frame width. Optimum between wiring space and installation place in terms of the front door of the control cabinet. Maximum wiring space in the bracket 85 cm2 and installation position in the control cabinet. Optimum between wiring space and installation place. Wiring space in the bracket 55 cm2 and easy attachment of the individual wires in the wiring space thanks to clearance between rail length and frame width. This type of installation is made possible by the lower installation height of the modules, which has a clearance of about 30 mm from the front door of the control cabinet. Optimum between wiring space and installation place in terms of the front door of the control cabinet. Maximum wiring space in the bracket 55 cm2. This means that a larger installation depth compared to Option 1 can be achieved, about 30 mm more compared to the front door of the control cabinet. Note: An AirBLOWER CANNOT be installed in the lowest level of the control cabinet in between the struts of the cabinet. The AirTEMP configurator can be used free of charge and is available to all cabinet engineers. The AirTEMP configurator by LÜTZE allows a differentiated thermodynamic analysis of a control cabinet with a mounting plate or AirSTREAM wiring system: the different temperature and temperature layers that can develop in a control cabinet can be determined quickly and easily. The AirTEMP configurator works by splitting the control cabinet into three virtual zones. The exact temperature for each of these three zones is calculated precisely. It also allows a simulation of the effect of cooling options such as, the AirBLOWER, AirBLADES or even an air conditioning unit. All the user needs to do is enter the key data of their control cabinet and the loss outputs of the installed devices. AirTEMP calculates everything else from this. Practical tests confirm the results and model assumptions of the AirTEMP tool. In addition to Lütze's own research and development department, scientific participation also made a contribution to the development of the LÜTZE AirTEMP application. The engineering of all AirSTREAM standard modules can be simplified. The integration of the LÜTZE AirSTREAM wiring system into the EPLAN Data Portal is of great benefit to designers of interdisciplinary engineering tools: Project planning, 3D layout, production and assembly of an AirSTREAM wiring frame are merged into one uniform data base that enable standardised procedures, automatic processes and continuous workflows. Part updates are carried out automatically via the EPLAN Data Portal. As a result, the design and production times for a LÜTZE AirSTREAM frame are minimised allowing products to be launched much faster. AirSTREAM wiring system Since it was launched 3 years ago, the LÜTZE AirSTREAM wiring system has established itself thanks to its 'intelligent air control'. Its special feature is the state-of-the-art climate concept that eradicates the need for conventional assembly plates and cable ducts that cause hot spots. Due to the division into a wiring level construction, the area behind the AirSTREAM wiring frame is used to circulate cold air. This creates permanent air circulation in the cabinet and the air is continuously circulated. Energy savings of up to 23% for control cabinet cooling are possible in comparison to traditional wiring systems. Often, it is possible to do without active control cabinet cooling systems all together. Fig.: Engineering processes can be greatly simplified.
