As part of a successful housing group, our
construction business is growing with a pipeline of
capital works projects.
We design, build, refurbish and regenerate places
to improve economic and social outcomes for
people.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to
expand our team.
The role of the multi-skilled Joiner is to provide a
comprehensive joinery service in accordance with
the relevant safety regulations and departmental
procedures, ensuring that all work is undertaken
effectively and to a high standard and to the
customer and client’s satisfaction.
To undertake all joinery installations and repairs
relevant to domestic and commercial properties to
the highest quality and standard in accordance with
work requests and pre-determined specifications to
a wide range of fixtures and fittings.
To have a sound working knowledge of all elements
of building construction, components, materials,
building trades and applicable building regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES the Multi-Skilled Joiner will…
 Repair and/or renew a variety of joinery
project work including ceiling and floor
joists, kitchen units, window frames, roofing
trusses etc.
 Deglaze and reglaze windows.
 Carry out first fix, secondary fixing, final fix
and formwork for projects internal and
external.
 Liaise with clients and customers when
arranging and carrying out works.
 Assess, plan and request parts and materials
required to carry out works.
 Work from a variety of instructions including
drawings, diagrams, sketches and
calculations using measuring equipment
where appropriate.
 Identify and report any findings of asbestos.
 Supervise Apprentices, educating them to
the standards expected by the Department,
ensuring they work in a safe and efficient
manner.
 Keep accurate records and document work
activities and deliveries.
 Carry out work at heights using ladders and
scaffolding, and work in confined spaces and
a variety of work conditions.
 Be responsible for ensuring that all work has
been carried out both effectively and
efficiently.
