We have built up a recipient organization - a platform that can systematically qualify received system export leads,
mature these and subsequently engage the companies that can and will work in partnerships on the specific
projects.

CASE – ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN MALLS
DANISH CONSORTIUM DELIVERING IN 3 PROJECTS
Challenge
Mega shopping malls are in rapid growth in tropical climate zones. These buildings have
massive energy consumptions and CO2 emissions as electricity is generated on coal fired
power plants.
Solutions
• For 3 distinct malls in the Philippines, the Danish consortium DEEP to reduce
consumption, emissions and costs of operating large malls. Danish know-how,
technologies and architecture will be brought together with local partners in a
combination of research & commercialization.
• Clean Solutions has identified opportunities and facilitated dialogue with Philippine mall
developers and Danish partnership group all the way to signature.
Status & results
• Agreements for energy efficiency proposals signed between DEEP and Waltermart and
World Trade Centre malls.
• Asia’s first Energy+ Mall: Robinson with 17 Malls builds 1-2 new/year incl. China has
signed Letter-of-Commitment with Clean to develop first Energy+ mall with use of
Danish know-how and technology
