Join your ARS friends for a great time on the Patio! Darryl will fire up the grill and make us a feast of
burgers & brats along with other goodies. Rockin’ Rob will be entertaining us with Karaoke and you will
provide the dancing. Fun time for everyone! RSVP 7-6-15

July 14th Movie-Minions

2nd matinee of the day
Everyone loves the minions! They are so cute and lovable not to mention so darn funny. Let’s see what
kind of mischief Stuart, Kevin, Bob and their other minion friends get into. We will meet 15 minutes
before the movie starts. We will sit together as a group and ARS will provide a small pop and bag of
popcorn for all that attend. Exact time of show will be posted on the website and our facebook page as
soon as that information is available. Cost: $5.75
July 21st Let’s Go Fishing
420 Walnut Street, Sleepy Eye

Our friends at “Let’s go fishing” in Sleepy Eye have invited us to join them on their pontoon for an
evening of fishing and site seeing. If you would like to fish fishing supplies will be provided. If you just
want to enjoy an evening on the lake that’s fine too. Limited to 8 people RSVP 7-20-15 Cost:FREE

Do you love to color? Then this event is for you. There will be many Adult designs to choose from. You
will also choose whether you want to use markers, crayons or colored pencils to work with. The
possibilities are endless, so is the fun!

People First and ARS are changing up our evening to make it more convenient for you. People First
Meeting will start promptly at 5:30, then at 6:00 the fun continues with Karaoke and birthday cake.

July 8th Leaf Painting on Canvas
Community Center Room 112

Anyone would be proud to display these fine pieces of art. This activity is a three step process of
painting a canvas, placing leaves on top of that and spray painting on top of the leaves. The leaves are
removed to leave a unique and beautiful design. This is a detailed activity so please be on time so we
can work together as a group. RSVP 6-7-15

July 15th ARS Battle of the Teams Community Center Room 112

ARS friends will be divided into two teams. We will run this event similar to the popular TV
game show Family Feud. This is guessing at it’s best. Treats and prizes provided. Cost:FREE

There is no membership to belong to ARS Supper Club, you just have to like food. This month
we are meeting at the Dairy Queen for supper and maybe a little ice cream. Cost: Varies
July 29th ARS visits Beat of a different drummer New Ulm Country Club

Beat of a different drummer dance club is an event that includes a meal followed by Karaoke
and dancing. Many of our ARS participants already attend this, however there are still some of
us that would like to check this out. Now is the time! Cost:$10.00
Church of Cash/Viva Knievel
New Ulm Fairgrounds
Thursday July 16th 5:00pm
The Church of Cash is the Midwest’s best Johnny Cash Tribute show performing a multitude of hits
spanning Johnny’s entire career!
Viva Knievel is a cover band that defies gravity. With no fear of broken bones or loss of limb, we take the
stage and attempt feats that seem impossible.
Both of these bands will be performing for the Bavarian Blast Pre-Fest. ARS will meet at the Fairgrounds at
5:00. The food vendors will have their food stands open for us and are offering us a food discount. We will be
able to purchase a meal for $5.00 (it would otherwise cost $8.00) ARS will pay for half of your admission
ticket. Mention that you are part of ARS to receive the discount at the gate. Cost: $5.00 ticket/ $5.00 meal
Boppin’ Bodies
Join us every Thursday from 4:30-5:30 for some
refreshing activity. Rain or Shine!
Each Thursday there will be a different activity. We will
be outside as much as possible during the summer to
play Frisbee, basketball, hopscotch, bean bags, and on
the playground equipment. On the days it is raining we
will dance, cheer, or play our indoor bowling game. We
will meet in room 15 of the community center and go
from there. Participants are needed for this to be fun
for everyone. Hope to see you there!

July 6th 1pm “ Let’s Go Fishing” 420 Walnut Street Sleepy Eye, MN-We will enjoy the opportunity to fish
while floating on a pontoon. All supplies and a snack will be provided. This is a limited space activity so
get your RSVP in fast! RSVP 7-1-15 Cost: Free
July 7th 2pm Lola’s 16 N Minnesota St, New Ulm –We will enjoy a nice break in the day by stopping at
Lola’s for an afternoon snack and to visit Cost: Varies
July 11th 4-7pm Water Park in Sleepy Eye 201 Burnside Street SE, Sleepy Eye-Cool off with your friends
at the Water Park. Cost: $4.00 and staff gets if for free
July 15th 1:30pm Leaf painting on canvas Room 15 Community Center-These beautiful paintings will
enhance any room and are fun to make. Cost: $3.00
July 30th 1:30pm Birdfeeders Room 15 Community Center –One of the fun things about summer are all
the beautiful birds. Treat them to some good food made with style. RSVP 7-29-15 Cost: $1.50
August 28th
Twins vs. Astros
Bus will leave at 3:15 from the community center. We
will stop along the way for supper and restroom breaks.
Game starts @ 7:10 at Target Field. We will get to the
field early enough to look around and take pictures. We
will all be seated before the game starts and will enjoy
as a group. When the game is done we will stick around
to watch the fabulous fireworks display .Cost: $40.00
RSVP by Aug 1st. $20.00 down payment to reserve your
seat.
Saturday July 11th 4-7 Water Park in Sleepy Eye 201 Burnside Street SE
Join your friends for a cool afternoon at the water park. Be sure to mention you are with ARS
and receive $1.00 off your admission by using the ARS punch card. Cost: $4.00
