Goal Setting
Setting goals can be scary! Sometimes it can spark fear. By registering for the
Virtual Fund Drive, you have joined a fundraising effort – we NEED you to help us by
raising money! Goal setting is simply a part of the fundraising process. Do you know
why people both participate and donate? Because they are asked! Don’t be shy;
approach someone you may not have previously considered.
Online Goals
Always aim high, as your donors will always try to help you reach your goal.
If you’ve done this before, ask your past donors to give a little bit more this year.
Focus on finding more donors by asking friends to share your fundraising link and
by posting it on Facebook.
If you reach your goal before the end of the drive, bump it up! Donors will likely
continue to donate in order to help you reach you goal.
Number of Teammates
Fundraising is easier, more fun and more competitive when you’re in it together!
Think of how many people you will be most successful with. It’s easy to reach the
suggested team goal minimum of $1,000 with a team of 5 people raising $200 each.
Think of what you could do with more teammates!
Double Your Donations with Matching Gifts
Matching gifts are a great way to increase your total fundraising dollars.
Some companies don’t just match gifts made by employees – but also gifts made
by spouses and/or retirees. So, take a few minutes to find out if you can double your
donations today by checking with your Human Resources Department.
