Hi, Thank you for your enquiry about bringing a show to Park Theatre. Please find below some information about Park Theatre, what you need to consider when sending in a proposal and putting on a show here and our programming process/ package. Please read this information carefully before submitting a proposal - we hope it will answer any questions you may have. Introduction and Concept Park Theatre opened in May 2013 - a new venue situated beside Finsbury Park station, North London. The building comprises of a 200 seat theatre, flexible 90 seat theatre, rehearsal/workshop space, all day café bar and ancillary facilities. Park Theatre is a theatre for London today. Our vision is to become a nationally and internationally recognised powerhouse of theatre. Our mission is to be a welcoming and vibrant destination for all. We choose plays based on how they make us feel: presenting classics through to new writing, musicals to experimental theatre all united by strong narrative drive and emotional content. Our creative learning activities will nurture new audiences and develop the next generation of theatre practitioners. Artistic Policy On Our Programming (how we make our decisions) Park Theatre programs a balance of new writing and classics, plays and musicals. We look for work that has a strong narrative and emotional drive and plays that can flourish within the intimacy of our theatres. We aim to maintain a good gender balance of male and female roles on stage within a season and generally prefer productions with smaller casts (so that budget can be spent on looking after them properly). Striving for national recognition, we place emphasis on high production values in all our work – both on stage and off (for example in the design and quality of print). The majority of a season will be straight hires with 1 or 2 in-house / co-productions a year. Jez Bond (Artistic Director), along with Melli Bond (Creative Director) will consider your proposal along with any additional information you send through (script, video footage etc) based on our experience of your work and how it fits with our artistic policy and vision. The Spaces Park Theatre’s technical infrastructure has been designed in conjunction with Northern Light and a number of experts currently working in the field. The entire building, including the auditoria, is air conditioned. Show relays (switchable between our two spaces) feed to the back of house areas (dressing rooms, green rooms etc). The lighting desk and dimmers are ETC. There are patch panels in both spaces to facilitate running video/projection for shows without having to run cables around the building. We have 3 performance spaces each with a slightly different focus: AL_PT_Aug15 1 Park 200 – seats two hundred people.
