Class 1 is to be run without restrictions e.g. martingales and various bits
may be used at the discretion of the judge – no training aids are allowed.
If you wish to familiarise your horse to the arena before your test please
let us know.

Rules and Regulations
The rules and regulations laid out by Willow Tree Farming must be adhered to at all times.
1: A hard hat confirming to current European standards must be worn at all times when mounted.
2: Correct dress must be worn in the rings including Jacket unless otherwise stated on the day.
3: Once an entry has been made fees will not be refunded without a valid vet/doctors certificate.
4: It is recommended that riders wear back protectors when mounted, especially in jumping classes.
5: The organisers of the event reserve the right to refuse entry to any class or the showground itself.
6: The judge’s decision is final. Any objections should be made to the show secretary in writing, within thirty
minutes of the incident, together with a £30 deposit. Money is refundable if the objection is upheld.
7: Dressage classes will be judged in accordance to rules laid down by BD.
8: Dressage classes 1&2 are to be run without restrictions e.g. Martingales and various bits may be used at the
judge’s discretion. No training aids allowed.
9: Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
10: Stallions and Colts will not be allowed on the premises.
11: All droppings are to be picked up.
12: Take all litter home with you or place in bins provided.
13: Willow Tree Farming reserve the right to cancel, add or amend any class or competition as they see fit due
to weather conditions etc.
14: In areas shared with pedestrians, horses §may walk only. No cantering outside arenas
15: Neither Willow Tree Farming, nor any of its representatives or staff shall be held liable for any accident,
injury, damage or loss whatsoever, howsoever caused to any person, animal or property at any time.
16: Excessive use of whips will result in elimination.
17: A vehicle speed limit of 5mph is to be adhered to whilst on the premises.
18: Prizes are subject to entries.
19: Age is taken from 1st January
20: No outside help is to be given to any competitor in the main jumping ring except the Pre-Novice Class.
21: Any horse/rider combination who enters a lead rein jumping class competitively may not enter an off lead
rein jumping class competitively.
22: No horse/rider combination can enter any class more than once except in the clear round.
23: No horse/rider combination can enter both small and main ring classes competitively, with the exception of
the Pre-Novice class.
24: No draw reins are allowed in the ring.
25: All children under the age of 16 years must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
26: The definition of a pre-novice is not to have won any first anywhere in a main ring jumping class.
27: The definition of a novice is a horse/rider combination that has not won three firsts anywhere in a main ring
jumping class.
28: In the event of any rider travelling to a show on their own, emergency contact details must be left with the
Show Secretary.
Abusive behaviour, foul language or cruelty to ANY horse will not be tolerated. If any such incidents
occur the competitor/spectator will be asked to leave and may be banned from future shows
