Oxygen use in Healthcare
Oxygen therapy increases the supply of oxygen to the lungs. Oxygen
molecules are adsorbed onto hemoglobin molecules in red blood cells
for transport throughout the body. Hemoglobin releases oxygen into
body tissues.
Oxygen Produced On-Site is ~95%
Long-term oxygen therapy is generally delivered to patients at a level
between 25 and 40%.
Oxygen Produced On-Site is ~95%
Emergency and short term oxygen therapy can be delivered as high as
99%. However, the uptake of oxygen by the patient is generally limited
by the level of hemoglobin available to about 80%.

CSA Standards
CSA Z7396.1-12 - Medical Gas Pipelines
Specifies the safety and performance requirements for medical gas pipeline.
CSA Z10083 - Oxygen Concentrator Supply Systems
Specifies the safety and performance requirements for the oxygen concentrator
supply systems used to produce oxygen for the medical gas pipeline.
Bulk Oxygen
 Liquid Oxygen Storage
 Built on pad by loading dock
HIGH PRESSURE CYLINDER MANIFOLD
On-site O2 Generation
 Systems manufactures Oxygen93 USP
 Cost competitive with Liquid Oxygen pricing
 System only produces oxygen on demand – no wastage
due to evaporation
Two Types
 PSA = Pressure Swing Adsorption

40 year old technology
 VSA = Vacuum Swing Adsorption

VSA Advantages
 Smaller footprint
 Less energy
 Fewer parts
 Lower maintenance
 Completely oilless
 Can be installed inside or outside
