SHMC Events & Announcements
The Gift Discernment Committee will be starting to meet and look for volunteers in
May. Please consider prayerfully in which area of the church you feel called to
serve with your gifts so we can build the Kingdom of God together.
A Congregational Meeting is planned for May 11 at 7PM. The agenda for this
meeting will be: discussing the idea of having the English worship services on a
weekday evening for the months of July and August, forming a pastoral search
committee for the Lead Pastor position and allowing for time to let people express
their experience of Terrell’s vote results.
Es ist eine Gemeindestunde geplannt für Montag den 11. Mai um 7 Uhr. An der
Tagesordnung stehen die folgenden Punkte: Vorschlag die englischen
Gottesdienste während des Sommers an einem Wochenabend zu haben, das
Suchkomitee für einen leitenden Prediger und wir werden Zeit nehmen um uns
über Terrell’s Wahlergebnis auszutauschen.
On Sunday, May 24, Pentecost Sunday we will be having a combined worship
service with Communion at 10:30am. The service will be followed by a soup
fundraiser for this year’s Matheson Island camp in July.

Emergency appeal - Nepal earthquake response
MCC is working with local partners to respond to the unfolding tragedy in Nepal.
Our initial response is focused on emergency food and shelter. The Canadian
government will be matching funds donated through May 25, which MCC will be
