Parking Options • Minnehaha Park lots. The closest parking goes first. These spots probably will be full before 8 a.m. o Free lots in the Wabun Picnic Area o Pay parking in lots on Godfrey Parkway and along Minnehaha Park Drive o Patron parking in reserved lots by the Longfellow House and on Minnehaha Park Drive at 50th Street, 52nd Street and 53rd Street. For $35 ($30 for seniors), an annual Patron Parking Permit offers parking in specially designated spaces. Purchase a Patron Parking Permit online or in person at the Longfellow House Visitor Center, 4800 South Minnehaha Park Dr. • Residential streets. The neighborhood has plenty of free parking on residential streets north and west of the park (in gray on the neighborhood map). If you park west of the park, Minnehaha Parkway goes over Hiawatha Avenue, and 50th Street has a controlled crossing. Mark your parking spot on the neighborhood map. Red circle shows residential parking within 0.5 mile of the starting line.
