What does the
Support, Time and
Recovery Team do?
The team works to support
individuals affected by mental ill
health as they work towards their
recovery.
A mental health recovery coach
provides flexible support to help
individuals identify, work towards
and achieve their goals and
potential.
How the team works
What we do
Your plans and goals will be as individual
as you are. The support we provide may
include:
q Promoting independent living
q Helping you return to education
q Enabling you to travel independently
q Supporting you with daily living
q Supporting you to maintain good
mental health and wellbeing
Can the Start
team help you?
q Liaising with families or carers, when
appropriate.
A mental health recovery coach can
work with you to determine:
About the team
q What you want to achieve
and how
q What you will need to do to
achieve your goals and potential
q Who will need to be involved in
your plans
q When you can hope to achieve
your goals
We use a variety of approaches to
help you achieve and maintain
good mental health. We work
alongside workers in health,
leisure, employment and
education. We are also flexible
when, where and how we work.
All staff are experienced mental health
workers who have undertaken a national
training programme demonstrating occupational competence. The STR approach
requires all staff to have qualified in
levels 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care as
well as achieving additional mental health
qualifications in recovery.
Our ways of
working include:
The Recovery approach or model
