Students who do not provide a current, valid
insurance policy number will be enrolled in a
campus-endorsed student health insurance
plan and a charge will be placed on their
student account. The Student Health
Insurance Plan works in partnership with the
University Student Health Fee to provide
seamless health care at a reasonable cost to
students.
The policy verification process begins when
university course registration windows open.

UNCG students taking 6 or more main
campus credit hours must provide proof of
health insurance. Many students already
have Health insurance to offset the expenses
due to illnesses, accidents, and prescriptions
through parent, family, or employersponsored plan, or private policies. Students
already covered by one of these plans, need
to simply verify the policy through a secure
on-line system by providing a current, valid
health insurance policy number.
