Highway: Interstate 96 traverses the Township east-west. U.S. 23 is the major north-south
highway in the Township.

Public Facilities: The recreation needs of township residents are served by several local
and regional metropolitan park authorities and the Southeastern Livingston County
Recreation Association.
Private Facilities: Various elementary schools throughout the Township provide fields
available for use by Township residents.
Hospitals and Clinics: St. Joseph Mercy Livingston located in Howell, MI.
Higher Education: Cleary University located in nearby Howell, MI.
Public Schools: Four public schools are located in Brighton Township: Spencer
Elementary, Hilton Road Elementary, Lakes Elementary, and Farms Middle School.
Parochial Schools: In addition to the public schools listed, a number of Township students
attend private schools in or near the Township including Cornerstone Presbyterian,
Shepherd of the Lakes, Brighton Montessori, Maple Tree Montessori, and St. Patrick
Catholic School (located in the city of Brighton).
Recreational / Cultural Opportunities: Township residents have access to Kensington
Metropolitan Park that covers 340 acres in the southeast corner of the Township and offers
a diverse range of recreational opportunities. Individual parks and athletic fields are
available to Township residents at each of the Township’s elementary schools. In addition
to these recreational opportunities, Township residents have access to numerous athletic
programs through the Southeastern Livingston County Recreation Association (SELCRA) as
Brighton Township funds the organization to provide for some recreational needs.

INDUSTRIAL SITES INFORMATION:
Eagle Business Center: A twenty (20) acre park with easy access to I-96 and U.S. 23. The
site offers a full range of utilities including sewer, water, electric, and gas.
Brighton Industrial Park: Located off of Grand River Avenue and with easy access to I-96,
the 41 acre site has no rail access, but offers gas and electric. Water and sewer data is not
available for the park.
Others: Several other industrial parks reside within the boundary of the City of Brighton.
