Other work for the team is directly related to job function. EXPECTED ACTIVITIES Listed below are our teams expected activities in helping us reach our goals. All members have agreed upon these activities through consensus. 1. Quality • Check for wrong and missing parts and labels before sending up the carton • Focus on quality at all times • Check parts when at pack out 2. Production • Train all team members on tester • Leave fewer holes on line (1 every 10) • Maintain daily measurement board 3. Inventory Accuracy • Team members will use “Use First” signs • Put things (parts) back where they go 4. Safety • Use team-lifting technique • Watch what we are doing • Keeping straps up and plastic from pallets 5. EXPECTED COMMUNICATIONS Our team will follow the guidelines below to ensure communication is done both effectively and efficiently: • ©2007 Our team will meet each morning at 7 AM at the middle of the line www.NewDirectionsConsulting.com Page 2 of 4 • • • Items to be discussed at the meeting are: – Changes in production – Production for the previous day – New/problem models – ATO – Team issues (those that need more time will be discussed at a regular team meeting) – Items from the coach – Overtime requirements – Quality/safety/customer service issues – R+ The meeting will last no longer than 10 minutes Action items will be scribed on the team white board The team is expected to maintain an up-to-date communication log for the shift following their shift. The team should follow the Standard Shift Change Log template. EXPECTED MEASURING POINTS The team will maintain its Daily Measurement System, working with the business manager and the coach to determine what is appropriate for the team to measure. The team will track items that are “yellow” or “red” and take appropriate corrective action. The team will also complete team thermometers at the 4, 8, and 12 month points and discuss the results. At the end of the first year, team members will complete individual thermometers and establish personal performance goals.
