Team Talent Operations: Achievement First’s Talent Operations team is seeking an associate to help us support and advance our organization’s mission to close the achievement gap. Team Talent Operations drives AF’s support of talent by managing all talent-facing systems and projects including our award-winning Teacher Career Pathway (TCP) program, employee compensation and benefits administration, and organization-wide feedback structures through surveys. Associate Role Summary: The Talent Operations team will be taking our work to the next level and currently redesigning systems across the network, as we look to provide a best-in-class work experience for our employees. To that end, we are seeking an associate who can join our team, execute on existing practices, yet innovate the way we think about talent across our schools. As an organization, feedback is a cultural norm, and this associate will be directly responsible for executing frequent network-wide surveys to capture feedback from school leaders, teachers, families, and students themselves. Upon collection, this associate will analyze and aggregate data for Achievement First’s executives and leaders. This associate will frequently communicate with schools about TCP policies and the annual summer onboarding process for new staff members. This individual will need strong project management and communications skills as well as a strong customer service background. This is a great opportunity for an associate to help contribute to a team whose work is leading the national conversation about teacher evaluation and employee experience. This associate will deliver on the vision of partnering with schools to provide a seamless and meaningful teacher evaluation program for teachers, leaders, and ultimately our scholars. Responsibilities of the Survey Associate will include but are not limited to: ● Survey administration and data analysis o Conduct frequent, ongoing surveys across all schools and network employees. Structure o o o o such surveys in a way to gain buy-in, participation, and engagement across the network. Prepare student data using SQL in order to kick off successful student and family surveys. Prepare Tableau reports and other data analysis tools for dissemination of survey trends. Work cross functionally to ensure data quality and integrity. Develop/streamline processes that reduce the operational lift for school teams without reducing the overall quality of the TCP program and overall HR compliance practices. Manage our relationship with an external vendor who supports our survey process. ● School Communication and Stakeholder engagement o Communicate frequently and effectively with school leaders on survey completion and policies. Provide utmost customer service to our school-based coworkers. o Create communications related to survey data for a broad audience across the network, including teachers, school leaders, network employees, and senior network leadership. o Create and maintain data analysis tools in Tableau for school and network-level use. o Take existing systems and improve upon current implementation. ● Summer new-hire onboarding process o Kick-off strong onboarding for hundreds of new hires by (1) coordinating across schools and network-based team to complete onboarding and payroll documentation, (2) developing smooth enrollment practices across all teams, and (3) ensuring all new staff meet federal and local regulations o Conduct this same onboarding process for all NS employee hires throughout the calendar year. Skills and Characteristics ● Prior experience with Tableau, SQL, and SAS or willingness to learn ● Advanced experience with excel (advanced formulas and pivot tables) ● Loves data analysis. Must be able to translate raw data into a narrative for stakeholders. ● Customer service mindset: experience responding to and partnering with end users to solve challenges ● Communication and critical problem solving: able to explain complex processes at both detailed and high levels, in writing and in conversation. ● Belief in the Achievement First mission and educational model. ● Adept at giving and receiving feedback with manager and within a team. ● Humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and “Whatever-it-Takes” attitude. Educational Background and Work Experience ● Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of work experience. ● At least 1 year of project management experience with multiple stakeholders and ongoing project design. ● Survey administration prior experience a plus.
