Louisiana Sportsman Show New Orleans
Deer, Duck and Fishing Expo
For many years, the Louisiana Superdome was the
location of the Louisiana Sportsman Show. Hurricane
Katrina changed that, as the Show moved to the
Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, LA where it
remains to this day and is held in mid-March.
Louisiana Publishing, Inc. is proud to announce that
a new chapter in the history of the Show will begin in
2017. The Louisiana Sportsman Show will present a Fall
show in the Louisiana Superdome to complement the
Gonzales show. The Louisiana Sportsman Show – New
Orleans will be held in July and will focus on the outdoor activity in Louisiana that has led to Louisiana being
designated “Sportsman’s Paradise”: deer hunting, duck
hunting and inshore freshwater and saltwater fishing.
The Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans is a great
venue for you to reach your outdoor audience:
• Short distance to Baton Rouge, Houma, the Bayou
region, the River Parishes, the North Shore of Lake
Pontchartrain and the Mississippi Gulf Coast
• Large exhibit area under one roof with
covered parking
• Advertising access to the new Jumbotron TV

Here are just a few of the attractions in place for the 2017
show at press time.
•QDMA: The QDMA (Quality Deer Management Association) national convention will be held in conjunction with
the Louisiana Sportsman Show in the dome. QDMA draws
hunting enthusiasts from across the nation. THis partnership will help boast the show crowds.
•Fetch-N-Fish!: This giant mobile tank serves dual purposes: to show fishing techniques and to have fetching
demonstrations with the amazing, high-flying labs. FetchN-Fish! attracts both kids and the most die-hard fishermen
interested in learning new techniques and seeing new
lures in action.
•Big Buck Contest: Deer hunters from all over Louisiana
will bring their mounts to be scored and displayed. Winners receive custom Sportsman trophies, and all entrants
are eligible to win a new ATV. Last year’s event in Gonzales
drew over 100 entries. The Quality Deer Management Association will oversee the contest at the New Orleans show.
•Sportsman’s Discount Zones: Handpicked vendors will
offer the latest hunting and fishing gear at greatly reduced
prices. Puglia’s Sporting Goods will host the New Orleans
Discount Zone.
•Archery Discount Zone: Chag’s Sporting Goods will
anchor our Archery section of the show. Manufacturers reps
will be on site to answer questions and help find the right
equipment.
•Kid’s Zone: Special kids’ fun areas will be located at
both shows. Activities include rock wall climbing and
bungee jumping.
•Food and Cooking Area: A great variety of food will
be available at the Show, and regional manufacturers will
be on hand to demonstrate both their products and the
latest techniques.
And, if that were not enough, there will be 100’s of exhibitors at
each show with the latest in boats, ATVs, hunting and fishing
products and guided trips to destinations all over the world.

• No exhibitor will be allowed to set up until balance is paid in full.
• No cancellation or refund after execution of contract.
• Exhibitors will receive a services decorator’s kit 60 days prior to show.
• The terms set forth in this contract are acknowledged and accepted, subject to
confirmation by Show Management. Space is allotted subject to availability**.
Decision of the Show Management is final.
• Set up will be from noon Wednesday, July 19, 2017 through noon Friday, July 21.
• All booths are to remain set up until closing time on Sunday.
• Move out is Sunday after show.

**All space will be assigned according to the date received, longevity of exhibit activities at the show, practicality and advisability of space in relation to competitive lines. All space will be considered on the basis stated and assigned
at the discretion of the Show Management. Show Management will not recognize any exhibits outside of the designated area of Lamar-Dixon Expo Center, and reserves the right to unilaterally terminate the exhibitor’s space
contract at any time before or during the show for any violation of the exhibitor rules and regulations as set forth by the Louisiana Sportsman Show & Festival, or for any other violation of the Show policy as deemed sufficient by
the Show Management. Absolutely no sub-leasing of any space whatsoever.
