combined accounts for 73% of the total energy
used in our school system.
WHAT WILL
WHIDDON-ROGERS
DO ?
WREC Energy Management Plan
Goal: Increase power efficiency and reduce monthly cost through the use of power reduction
strategies while maintaining a safe productive and learning environment.
Strategy: Create better energy consumption procedures for all levels of staff and students that
will lead to energy reductions and lower cost.
Continually develop and deploy efforts in order to modify our energy consumption efforts. This
plan will be monitored very closely and results will be forwarded to the Broward County’s
School Board Manager.
Outcome: Reduce the unnecessary consumption use of energy.
Process: Follow the ADDIE model to ensure commitment, compliance and results. It includes:
A-Assess current usage
D - Develop process steps.
D- Design action plans
I-Implement the action items
E-Evaluate what is being done

Everyone Can Help
This is School Board countywide initiative. So
Everyone can do there part in helping us to:
“UNPLUG THE ELECTRIC BUG”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Besides countywide recognition there is
something in it for WREC. Any money saved
from our efforts, a portion will be given back to
the school. Administration has agreed to share
that money with us in the form of a school wide
social, equipment for the school, etc.
Volunteers
We are still looking for volunteers
to help promote this effort. If you
would like to volunteer please
contact Mr. Lenard or Mr. Egelsky.
