Our Industrial Water Treatment division which offers our customers all-inclusive water treatment programs, products, and equipment needs the right individual to direct all facets of the program and a team of dynamic managers in water treatment. The successful candidate for this position must be willing to travel frequently to customer facilities and meet regularly with their team. It is imperative that the individual can carry through with initiatives and projects and GETS RESULTS. Summary: The Director will oversee all projects and teams in the department, including all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas to drive profits, growth, and customer satisfaction. Increase profits through a consultative sales approach with an emphasis on retention of strategic accounts and expansion into new markets. Main Responsibilities: 1. Maintain consistent contact with customers and gain thorough familiarity with and understanding of the inner workings of the customer's operations to ensure strategies and goals are fully aligned with each customer's unique needs. Successfully develop strategies with the project team and client, prepare proposals, and continually build and deepen key relationships while seeking new business. Build effective programs that expand business and drive profits. 2. Oversee all work sites and projects to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications, schedules, and budgets. Manage project development through defining and monitoring project scope, goals, and deliverables throughout the life of the project. Maintain consistent contact with management teams and provide timely information. 3. Utilize motivational techniques, provide training, and take steps to proactively address employee concerns to ensure a positive and productive work environment. Effectively manage personnel and handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. Establish effective action planning that fosters a quality, safety and customer service oriented culture. Instill a "lead from the front" mentality. 4. Work with management team to consistently analyze all facets of projects to anticipate and meet all customers' needs. 5. Conduct frequent field inspections. Manage the processes and management teams as well as address technical concerns. 6. Pursue a culture of safety that is best in class with an objective of zero injuries or incidents. Actively engage management and the workforce to reinforce behavioral based safety programs. Hold management teams accountable to all safety expectations and goals. 7. Prepare forecast for business unit along with specific strategies and tactics needed to meet or exceed plan. Preferred Qualifications: • Minimum of ten (10) years of project management experience preferably in the oil and gas or similar industry focusing on industrial water. Must have at least seven (7) years of supervising others. Experience supervising a team located in remote and/or dispersed locations is a plus. •Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field. Master’s degree a plus •Deep knowledge with all or some of the following as it relates to the oil & gas industry is required: well-pad services, industrial water, terminal and tanks,etc . • In-depth experience with oil and gas clients and behavior based safety programs is required. •Project Management training or Project Management Professional credential required. • Advanced knowledge of the ISO 9001:2008 and OSHA standards. • Strong existing relationships and credibility with organizations who utilize water treatment services or in need of such services highly desired. • Must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving history. • Must be available 24/7 to respond to customer needs. Working Conditions/ Physical Demands: • May have to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. • Travel frequency: Work from remote locations - 15 - 20 days on the road; may drive in extreme conditions. • Physical conditions: extreme temperatures, noise, wet/humid, hail, rain, etc. Physical demands similar to construction/steel erection work. • Hazards: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, Biological, Radiation, Pressure, Sound, Gravity, Motion, Temperature. Field conditions in or adjacent to radiation, biological, chemical, or hazardous material work areas. Job duties may include work exposure to hazardous emergency situations. • Atmospheric Conditions (Construction Site): Fumes, odors, dusts • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Must also be able to wear protective clothing such as respirators, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection.
