Young Players Code of
Conduct
Players can sometimes contribute to sport rage.
Because you are a player we ask you to follow this
code of conduct in order to make sport fun for
everyone.
I will:








Always try my best and put heaps of effort in
Not cheat, argue with the officials or waste
time on purpose
Show respect to everybody, including the other
team
Understand the official can make mistakes
Make sure I shake the hands of the other team
at the end of the game
Listen to my coach and manager say
Talk to my parents, coach or club officials if I
am unhappy about anything
Be a modest winner and a gracious loser
As a young player I understand that if I do
not follow this code, any/all of the following
actions may be taken by my club, Regional
Sport Organisation or National Sport
Organisation






Be required to apologise to my team, the other
team, official or manager
Receive a warning from the coach or the club
committee
Be substituted or dropped from the squad
Be suspended from training
Be required to leave the club
My parents may be made aware of any
breaches of this code
