CONDITIONS OF PLAY
EACH TEAM TO CONSIST OF FIVE (5) PLAYERS
COMPETING TEAMS: Bonnie Doon, Moore Park, New South Wales, Royal
Sydney, St. Michael’s, The Australian and The Lakes
COURSE & MATCH:
 Play will be conducted in accordance with the ‘Golf NSW Conditions of Play’. 
 It is the responsibility of the Captain to acquaint her players with these
conditions, the rules of match play and the dress rules of the participating
clubs. 
 Play will be from two (2) tees. 
 All matches are off the stick. 
 No individual match shall go beyond the 18th hole. 
 Players are to walk in at the conclusion of the match. Result of the match to
be given to the Host Captain as soon as possible. 
 No complimentary organised practice rounds at any of the competing courses. 
 Short course tees – Host Captains at their discretion may use some short
course tees to speed up play 

ORDER OF PLAY: Players are to play in handicap order. A player who plays out of
order will be disqualified. It is the responsibility of the player to notify her
Captain of a change to her handicap. Failure to do so will result in
disqualification. The field captain should have three (3) copies of her team in
correct handicap order, one (1) for the host captain or starter and one (1) for
each team captain. • H ANDICAPS: To be determined Tuesday at 6pm for the match of the same
week. Players with handicaps greater than the handicap range may play, but,

play is off the stick. (Handicap range generally B1 Handicaps: 19–26,
B2 Handicaps: 25-36)

CADDIES: No caddies allowed. •
MOBILE PHONES: The audible emission and/or unauthorised use (including
checking or sending messages) of a mobile phone by a player on a golf course
and during play is a serious breach of etiquette and is prohibited. Penalty: One
warning, then disqualification. In Match Play the warning may be given by the
opponent who may then make a claim in the event of subsequent use.
However, players who have a medical or other serious reason to have a
mobile phone switched on, must obtain permission from the Host Captain for
the phone to be turned on in mute mode and used in such emergency. •
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES : Each host club is required to establish a
Local Rule to allow distancing measuring devices. The device is permitted to
measure distance only. •
MOTORIZED GOLF CARTS: Only players with a Doctor’s Certificate valid within
the previous 12 months are entitled to use golf carts. This certificate should be
presented to the Host Captain or appropriate person at the Club before
commencement of play. If due to wet weather carts are not permitted on a
course on the day of play a reserve player may take the place of a player
requiring a cart. •
STARTING TIME: Matches are to commence at the earliest time convenient to
the Host Club. •
PLAYERS LATE FOR ST ARTING TIME: RULE 6-3 - Players shall start at the time
laid down by the coordinator . The penalty for a breach of Rule 6-3a is
disqualification. It is a condition of the event that, in the absence of
circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification (as
provided in rule 33-7) if the player arrives at her starting point ready to play,
within five (5) minutes of her starting time, the penalty for failing to start on
time is loss of the first hole in match play instead of disqualification. Any player
failing to arrive for her starting time any later shall give a walk-over to her
opponent on the list. The Lady Captain of the Host Club, or her nominated

representative, shall decide whether there are circumstances, which warrant
waiving the penalty of disqualification, following the guidelines set down by
Golf NSW.
• INCLEMENT
WEATHER: In the case of ‘Severe Weather Conditions’, the team
Captains will vote on whether to cancel or play. The Host Captain will have
the deciding vote if necessary. Should there be ‘Severe Weather Conditions’
teams scheduled to play will receive one (1) point each if the matches are
cancelled. •
REFEREE: The Host Club is to appoint an official Marshall and provide him/her
with a cart. He/she will act as referee for the day, monitor pace of play and
have the authority to enforce the following rule: ‘If any group falls more than
one (1) clear hole behind the group in front, the former group WILL be required to
take a half for the hole they are playing or about to play and proceed directly to the
next tee.’ •
PLAYER ELIGIBILITY: Any player belonging to more than one (1) of the above
named clubs must nominate which club she will represent for the season.
Players who represented their club in Silver Interclub are eligible to play in
Bronze Interclub provided they are within the handicap range. •
POINTSCORE: Teams will receive two (2) points for a win and one (1) point for a
draw. Should a tie occur in the total of points and games, joint winners will be
declared.
