SkyTrak Partners with Future Champions Tour to be the
Official Launch Monitor of the Tour.
Winston-Salem, NC, April 10, 2017 – SkyTrak LLC, a joint venture of SkyGolf and SportTrak,
announces SkyTrak has partnered with Future Champions Tour to be the Official Launch
Monitor of the tour. Future Champions Tour (FCT) has tournament levels for junior golfers
just starting out to junior golfers looking to play in college. Besides having some of the
biggest and best events for junior golfers, the FCT has a commitment to get more kids
playing golf.
“SkyTrak is thrilled to partner with Future Champions Tour and help junior golfers of all skill
levels,” said Paul Calabrase, SkyGolf National Sales Manager. “Technology is being
used more often with juniors on their swing, during practice and getting into the right
clubs. With SkyTrak, they have the ability to do all this in the comfort of their own home.
With busy schedules and school, juniors can work on their game anytime without having
to go to the course.”
SkyTrak is a revolutionary development in launch monitor technology, offering a
complete practice, play and entertainment system for golf at home. It delivers
commercial quality ball flight simulations that reflect a golfer’s actual performance for
game improvement and entertainment at a price far below alternatives. Golfers can
also experience and test their skills on some of the world’s most famous 18-hole courses
with their own clubs at their own pace through integrations with golf simulators
including WGT Golf, Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf, The Golf Club Game and TruGolf.
“Our mission is to inspire our juniors in a positive fun environment to take their game to
the highest level through the most professionally run competition and award winning
instruction,” said Chris Smeal, PGA, Founder of Future Champions Golf. “Partnering with
SkyTrak allows us to offer our juniors an affordable, accurate and realistic in-home golf
experience that they can use to work on their game or have fun playing golf with their
friends at home.”
“SkyTrak features a Skills Assessment that we think will help juniors really dig in and
identify specifics about their strengths and weaknesses based on accuracy,
consistency, trends and precision,” added Calabrase. “Over time they can focus on
improving the weaker areas of their game and lower their handicap, while elevating
their golf game to a whole new level.”
The Skills Assessment allows golfers to set up to 10 target stations with the ability to set
distance and club used for each station. It then automatically progresses through each
station and allows you to check your performance and detailed shot history as you go.
In addition to capturing the actual ball speed, launch angle, back spin, side spin and
side angle to project the ball flight, the new Skills Assessment allows you to capture
additional shot details including flight time, angle of descent, max height and smash
factor (PTI). At the end of your Skills Assessment, you’ll see an overview of your entire
session including overall green accuracy, average shot dispersion and average
tendency. You will also receive a SkyTrak Dynamic Handicap™ score for each shot and
overall using the SkyTrak proprietary scoring system.
