Proposition 65
MCR Safety is devoted in keeping you informed when it comes to safety matters that may affect
you. In the weeks and months to come you may notice the following warning affixed to some of
our products:
WARNING: This product contains/may contain chemicals known to the State of California
to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
This warning message is being used to educate the purchaser and/or users about the requirements of a California law called Proposition 65. In 1986, voters in California approved the Safe
Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, better known by its original name of Proposition 65.
This law requires California to publish a list of chemicals it considers to cause cancer or birth
defects or other reproductive harm. It requires businesses to notify Californians about significant amounts of chemicals in the products they purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that
are released into the environment. By providing this information, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about protecting themselves from exposure to these chemicals. By including this warning label, MCR Safety acknowledges that one or more of the components used to make these products may be contained on this list of chemicals set forth by
