one team, one goal, one mission

EVENING TEAM,
Thanks for another successful week and sorry for the extended practice times that have occurred during our scrimmage formats.
The Bulldog program opens up with games this week with the C-team playing 3 times, 1 home and 2 away. We want to wish them best of luck.
Looking forward to another great week in preparation for the many games to follow.
GRADES: Make sure to work hard in the classroom in helping you succeed educationally and give you a better chance to play in games. The
entire program will condition for every F on the eligibility list this Thursday. I am also asking for every kid who is currently carrying an F and or D
to have a baseball grade report filled out by all teachers. They will receive such on Thursday’s and must return it to the head coach of their
team by the end of practice on the Friday, the next day! If this is not returned then you may not practice which will hurt playing time.
TIME TO START MAKING THE GRADE!
BOOSTER CLUB NOMINATIONS: A few people did not clearly understand the nomination form as they were nominating players and not
parents. Again we are looking for parents to help lead the class chosen. I will send out another form tomorrow and close it tomorrow night then
resend with those nominated for final selection.
WEBSITE AND EMAILS: I have been fielding emails and text messages about players, coaches and parents are not receiving emails which is a
problem especially moving forward. Therefore, make sure that all have subscribed to be a member on the website and upon doing so you will
receive all emails, texts and alerts from now on. www.brightonbaseball.net
HOODIES: Many have been asking if they can order the hoodies that many ordered a few weeks ago and the answer is yes. Please let me know
by Wednesday the 15th, if interested. $35.00 per
KING SOOPERS: We ask that all family members start using their King Soopers throughout the baseball season. If you do not have one then
please let me know and I will direct you to the right person. Thanks
SPRING BREAK: For those chosen to attend our annual spring break trip may find all information on the website.
REMINDER MESSAGE/TEXT: As another form of communication you may receive text messages but you must perform the following: enter this
number 81010 and then text this message: @2017bul
FIELD WORK: We have scheduled our field day this Saturday, March 18th from 1-3 and we need all players attending and if any parents would
like to help then please let Coach Garza know. Thanks in advance will send a list of to do list by Wednesday the 15th.
SNAPRAISE FUNDRASIER: Thanks to all who ALL who have made this fundraiser a success, however, we are not done yet as we have many
items to purchase in helping meet the needs of our program. I will send out a list of things that need assistance.

Be Aggressive! Get ahead in count with 1st pitch strikes!!
2.
Locate fastball on both sides of the plate
3.
Develop a 2nd and 3rd pitch that can be delivered for a strike at anytime
Although, let’s be great with 2 then be good with 3. 
4.
Control the running game- vary looks and pick-off moves
5.
Field your position- bunt coverage’s, covering first, starting the doubleplay, backing up 3rd and home
