How to make God Happy!
The who, what, why, how of Disciple Making
Matt. 28:16-20

Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told
them to go. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him—but some of them doubted!

Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on
earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all
the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I Am with you always, even to the
end of the age.”

What did Jesus mean when He told His disciples to make disciples?
Matt. 4:19-20

Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow Me, and I will show you how to fish for
people!” 20 And they left their nets at once and followed Him.

Why is disciple making so important? Why should we make a big deal about it?

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a
rich and satisfying life.

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace
with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of
our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we
now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

How do we do this?
Help them believe in God
…baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit…
Teach them to obey God
…Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you…
We teach them to obey God’s commands—> The Bible

For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting in the presence of our Lord Jesus at
His coming? Is it not you? 20 For you are our glory and joy! (HCSB)
