The goal of EOPS is to identify persons that are socially ,
economically , and educationally disadvantaged, whom would
consider themselves the least likely to attend college and assist
them with the process of matriculation with support services to
increase their opportunity for success in higher education .
EOPS activates involve outreach/recruitment, retention services, and
support in order to provide students the access and opportunity to
attend college.
Upon assistance into college and acceptance into the EOPS program
students are given support services to help them be successful.
These support services consist of academic counseling in creating a
long term educational plan, priority registration, assistance with cost
of books, staff support in assisting students with understanding
various college information, assistance with completing the financial
aid application, assistance with transfer, assistance with job
placement and career interests and the use of equipment .
